Photography, Memory, Loss, Escape

How do we bear the beauty and daily tragedy of living? We search for connection. Through art. Love. Sex. Work. We escape. Into the desert with laughter and pulque on my lips; in a rain-drenched square in front of a pink church; in an unexpected clear-cut under a full moon; in snow covered plains that take on a life of their own; in the cab that pulls away from an unfamiliar airport.

It's never the same. It's always the same.
